Hello Mother, Hello Father

Does anyone remember that old song "Hello Mother, Hello Father"?. It continues "Here I am at Camp Granada. It is very entertaining, and they say we'll have some fun when it stops raining."

Well today it did stop raining, and it was gorgeous. And we had lots more fun.

Duck feeding and a visit to a farm shop for lunch, then a look at their piglets. The boys then stayed with Granddad while I collected their Mum and Dad from Bristol Airport where they arrived after a few days break in Barcelona.

It was then another case of "Hello Mother, Hello Father."

This evening we ate at a really lovely pub at the side of Saltford Lock, where the canal meets the River Avon. The pub was recommended to us by a lady in the farm shop and we would never have found it otherwise.

The next verse in that song is "I've been hiking with Joe Spivey, he's developed poisoned ivy. You remember Leonard Skinner, he got toe nail poisoning last night after dinner" (Please forgive any errors but that's from memory.)

I just hope none of us gets toe nail poisoning now.

Wait a minute, it's stopped raining. Guys are swimming, guys are sailing. Playing baseball. Gee, that's better. Mother, Father, kindly disregard this letter.
