remembering D-DAY

On this 70th anniversary of D-day, let us stop and remember their willingness to sacrifice themselves on the beaches of Normandy, their participation in Operation Overlord.
Operation Overlord, carried out by Canadian, British and American joint forces, was a success and it did change the course of world history, but it was at the cost of 10,000 casualties, 2,500 dead. Freedom comes at a cost.
