orchid

we noticed the bud on this plant when we moved it here from Mom's house (we became the new owners of all her orchids when she moved). today we were lucky to watch it open (still in the process here)- I usually miss them.

back-blipped this on Jan. 9th, and this flower is still gorgeous outside, even though the weather is much cooler
