The great banner experience

After a morning of playing and packing up the house, we finally ushered Mum and Dad out the door at 3.45.

Granny’s sea-themed birthday banner required a bit more effort than anticipated. Fortunately super-keen Daisy and her brother Barney, plus Ethan and Sarah were on hand to help out. Nell did a sad turtle and a happy octopus, and a glittery mummy and baby crab. It's good when your artwork represents all your emotions. Matthew was in charge of the rest of the ocean- sting rays, giant squid, chimera, shoals of eels...great job. The others all painted and cut letters. And there was no way on earth it was going to be dry by 6.45 to go in the car to the new holiday house. Ross came back to fetch it after dinner at 10.30pm; he finished it off with a hairdryer.
