Ever decreasing circles

I've been in Dorset this week. My childhood memories are here, including trips with my dad to Dancing Ledge on Purbeck. This stretch of the coast is known for its spectacular fossils, including the giant ammonites at Dancing Ledge, and built into every cottage garden wall and doorstep on the island.

I wasn't on Purbeck today, only in Bournemouth. But this door handle in the loo of the beach bar where we had coffee caught my eye.

I don't think it's a real fossil!
