Butterfly challenge

This is one of many shots I have take of butterflies over the last few days in Armenia. They often involve a lot of chasing and a lot of patience...followed by hours poring over illustrations and descriptions in books. It doesn't help that we do not have a book that covers the Caucusus butterflies properly. Some have been easy to identify as species we are familiar with in the UK or elsewhere in Western Europe, but others, like this one, are not quite right. It is close to Small Pearl-bordered Fritillary, Classiana selene, but possibly a local sub-species or related species. There will be a lot more investigation once I get home.
