Bird Watching

One of the recurring council matters that crops up a couple of times a year is the issue of the amount of Canadian Geese in Bakewell.
Various strategies to control them has come up from pricking their eggs, to shooting them!
All these ideas and practices (albeit shooting) have amounted to no avail and the proliferation of the geese.
It seems to me the problem stems from people and chips not the geese.
But I can't see a cull on chips ever happening..
