Quod oculus meus videt

"Chive Walking"

Noticed a lot of shots on Blip this last week of bees on chive flowers so I thought I would join in (and sorry for the awful pun!).

Those of you seasoned in Blip culture will recognise the desperation of an emergency blip. Having come back from holiday yesterday it was a catching up day and most importantly a visit to see Mum who is having respite care in a home near Lichfield.

She seems much better for a week or so in the home and we are now discussing making the move permanent. I know she would have preferred to stay in her own home but having chatted this morning it is a realisation that her home is no longer the sanctuary it once was. Her care needs are such that she feels safer somewhere that offers support 24 hours a day. It is a difficult decision for her but the experiences of the last few months have caused her to re-evaluate. For a lady in her 91st year she is remarkable, with a sharp mind and the ability to make the right decision. I know she will decide what is best for her continuing welfare.
