High Force, Forest-in-Teesdale

After a 5am start we arrived for our weeks holiday in Cumbria at mid-day. We came off the A66 at Barnard Castle and after a drive through stunning countryside we came across this stunning waterfall called High Force which is in County Durham.
It is one of the most impressive water falls in England and drops 21 metres over the Whin Sill into a plunge pool below. The origins of the rocks it reveals have origins dating back over 300 million years - that is impressive!
