M42 & A5 Car Park

Today was going to be so simple... Do some veg & fruit shopping at George Eliot Hospital, see a friend before she leaves being a chaplain there.

Next a drive to Coventry to pick up the caravan after servicing. Traffic on the A45. & A46 was nose to tail so naturally I thought I go home a different way. I headed for the M40 to pick up the M42, which in turn turned into a car park, because there had been a Road Traffic Collision (RTC) and the police had closed the slip road to the M6 (Jt 4a). Got off the M42 only to find the A5 was also a car park all the way and beyond Nuneaton!


It took me three hours to work my way home instead of the normal 45 minute journey from Leek Wootton.
