A bed of roses.....

I had a horrible experience at work on Thursday, and was feeling very sorry for myself.

However, a very wise old friend said this to me....'If there is anything that you can 'learn' from the experience, that will help you if another similar incident should arise, then that is a positive.'

As I watched the deeply moving commemoration of D Day yesterday, and thought about all those youngsters whose lives were lost, I realised that my life is bloody wonderful and I should appreciate it a lot more.

PS This was my favourite story from the day.....what a spirit!
