splashing

Its been a splashing dat all round.

Turned up for golf today as play was being suspended at 8:40 due to thunder and lightening. The sun was out 20 mins later but we decided on coffee and breakfast in the clubhouse instead. Good decision as 2 hours later the rain came again and didn't abate.

In the garden the 2 woodpeckers were around again. A female and juvenile.

The juvenile seemed to enjoy splashing around in this candle holder thingy that has been full of rain water since last autumn. He was ducking his head all the way in and shaking water everywhere, then rocking on it and spilling water. I think it was more youthful play than washing or drinking.

The day ended in sunshine so hoping for more sun tomorrow
