Welcome to my work, this is what I do, repair these nice little engines.
GE Aviation Wales currently has the capacity to overhaul around 400 engines a year
and has over 90 customers worldwide. The site holds the necessary approvals and
certifications with a number of different regulatory bodies and airline operators to
support this global customer base. The GE site, based in Nantgarw, Cardiff, is
1.2 million sq ft and supported by two state-of-the-art test beds. We are the
only site in the world that can overhaul the GP7200, which powers the A380
Airbus. We also overhaul the GE90 and GE90-11B the world’s most powerful
commercial jet engine, along with the full range of CFM56 engines. The site
employs around 1,000 people.
