Katgirl and SamIam

Today, I drove up to Sedona to help out SamIam (Green Eggs & Ham) with her cat Percy. There are no vets who have experience with ultrasound in Sedona, so I was glad to make the drive up there. It was my first trip there and it is quite a beautiful place. It is amazing to drive up out of the desert and gradually come upon the red rocks and cliffs of Sedona.

Percy didn't like getting an ultrasound and then blood drawn (hence the scratches on Sam). He is a very sick boy, but we are going to treat the treatable and hope for the best. Serious illness in a young cat is downright unfair, especially in one as wonderfully sweet and personable as Percy.

Sam has been an incredibly gracious host. It is so nice to be with a kindred soul, although we both wish it was under better circumstances.
