a tribute to our tree

It has saddened me to notice that the English elm in our front yard is dying. Most of it did not bud and leaf this spring and it has finally succumbed to all the ice storm damage from several years ago. So today I put together a few photos for a collage. The leaf background was taken today but the rest was taken when it was still in full glory.
