Icicles

Icicles outside our bedroom window, soon after sunrise.

This is my first submission, and I am just using it as a rapid experiment to see how blipfoto works. I have a feeling (based on the upload time) that this is a higher resolution image than should really be used. The image size is 3264 x 2448 px. and the file size is 8896 kB.

The image has been processed using PSP X and a number of add-ons. The Exif information is thus missing. Blipfoto has given the image the correct date, based on the timestamp for the final step in processing, but it could be anything apparently (especially since it is easy?and often useful?to modify file attributes).

Can anyone guide me about appropriate procedures and etiquette? For example, what resolution is useful, what level of compression (say with optimised JPEG), what dpi, what picture dimensions, what filesize?(!) Since I see that many submissions have the exposure and camera parameters indicated; is it therefore expected that users will add back the Exif data to image files that have been processed and saved without the original data?
