Camp Arizona - D-Day, 70 years on

(Spot the anachronism here.)

An encampment on the outskirts of Carentan.

The reenactors - both men and women (with children and even babies) - are meticulous about period detail.

Here the somewhat corpulent man sitting on the left hand side of the vehicle (an armoured personnel carrier?) was determined to be photographed next to its driver. A very trick task even for someone young and athletic! But he made it in the end.
