Salisbury Terrace, Akroydon

Lovely sunny morning so, with half an hour to spare, had a walk around Akroydon which is is a 'model village' in Halifax.
It was founded by mill-owner and philanthropist Edward Akroyd in 1860 to house his workers.
Unusually these houses were for sale (rather than for rent), but unfortunately they were still a bit expensive for many of his workers.
It is now a Conservation Area with many listed buildings.
