Free At Last!

A few days ago this creature was a ladybird larva - see pic A Ladybird But Not As We Know It

This morning I was surprised to see a shiny new YELLOW ladybird stretching its legs alongside the remains of its pupal case. I had no idea that newly emerged ladybirds are yellow, developing their red-with-black-spot clothing a few days later (thanks to the Springwatch website for the info).
