À Deux.

There is no disguising the fact that His Lordship and I are seriously sad when the highlight of our morning was a trip by an infamous tram to the airport to mix with fully paid up air passengers and have a coffee.
We wanted to have the experience of seeing what our inflated council tax is paying for, and of course the car being out of action, HL was at a loose end.

I have to report that the jaunt was slightly underwhelming given the transit time and the fact that we were transported on backward facing seats, the forward ones having been taken before we boarded. We did however travel for free, being paid up members of the Edinburgh bus pass club.

The airport was also a disappointment with the amount of building work going on, and the atmosphere convinced me at least, that I would rather be at a ferry terminal than an airport.

We chose to return to the city centre by airport bus, sitting on the top deck, having a wonderful view of houses and gardens en route and feeling that the journey was quicker.

However, it was good to see that summer was in evidence today with short sleeves, bare legs and tourists and office workers picnicking outside in the sun.
