Blues and Greens

The lavender that I planted in pots last year is starting to come into flower; the buds are quite small at the moment, but the intensity of their colour still catches my eye each time I step out of the back door. And of course their scent, especially on a warm day like today, is wonderfully fragrant.

Spent part of the afternoon planting out the chervil plugs which arrived from Cornwall in the post yesterday - looking a bit yellow round the edges at the moment but hopefully some fresh air and sunshine will revive them. The sorrel goes from strength to strength and seems quite unstoppable, however often I pick it. Things in the garden are looking good; may be worth a picture tomorrow as well.
