She's happy ... now.

1. We knew buddleia was known as "Butterfly bush".
2. We are both attracted to the odd and unusual.
(Elsewise d'you think she'd have picked me)
So we bought a Buddleia alternifolia. I am forced to admit it doesn't look like that yet.

Anyway, it's a change from Blackbirds.

Yesterday She was grunting and grumbling that we hadn't any Butterflies. She was somewhat mollified by my stating that we needed them to be actually THERE before we could attract them.
Today we did.
A narrow escape was had by a fledgling Starling which thought it was part Hummingbird: hanging onto the new fat-stick feeder and flapping LIKE HELL to stay in situ while it devoured a beak or two full of mealworm loaded fat.
