Reminiscences:

My daughter had for some time been trying to persuade me to record the odd bits and pieces I kept mentioning, but I didn’t think they were important enough to write down and make available for posterity to read.

However, when my son—in-law went for a hip replacement, a relative of his sent him a similar document that their father had written to read while he was in hospital and I eventually saw it.

The penny sort of dropped - I was intrigued and so I started on my collection. I’ve just finished it, not a great literary epistle, just a modest nine pages but all mine own work.
