Angelina Jolie

Saw Angelina Jolie and William Hague at the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict that's being held at the ExCel centre this week.

While it's good that she uses her fame to support such an important issue, it says a lot about the 'celebrity' culture we live in that the media wouldn't have covered the event in anything like the detail it has, without the 'star attraction' of Angelina. Quite likely that Hague and the government wouldn't have put so much energy and funding into the event without her to bring the attention and 'glamour' either. I just hope something useful comes out of the event...
