A massive squall woke me at 2am this morning. The wind was howling through the trees. Later in the morning a friend posted that she was trapped in her house as two trees had fallen over, one by the front entrance, the other at the back!

How this mushroom survived the carnage I don't know, I found it at lunchtime today in my garden.

And for those of you who follow my journal, the daughter is sick, again, with some sort of viral rash, possibly related to her fever over the weekend, possibly a fresh bug. Poor kid, it's been a terrible school vacation for her so far.
