Shopping in the Netherlands can sometimes still feel a bit 1960's. In the supermarket you can buy wine, but you cannot buy spirits, so no gin, no whiskey - for these you have to go to a special shop - mostly these are owned by, and next door to the supermarkets - this is where we normally buy wine- focused of course on the special offers - but in Rhoon there is also an independent wine shop which has a rather more special ( that is expensive) selection .

While some refurbishment of the village centre is being done this shop is temporarily moved to the old place of the supermarket wine shop. No wonder I am confused
