St Ethelburgas

This pretty little Norman church at Great Givendale sits on the side of a hill and is gently merging with its surroundings.

Although originally Norman, the church was rebuilt in 1849 by John Singleton who in conjunction with the Tatton Sykes family were responsible for restoring several churches on the wolds.

The walk through Givendale is one of my dogs favourites, there are cool woods with pheasants and rabbits, a stream to paddle in and a dog friendly cafe at the end.
