King rail and chick!

Super, super stoked. The king rail is very illusive, and to get a clear shot at one is very exciting. To get one with her chick as well is ten times as exciting!

I was holding me breath, moving very, very deliberately in an effort not to spook them. I got off about four shots before they noticed me and took to the reeds.
