Thanks to my line manager (who is responsible for Grounds and Waste at our University) I spent an hour out of the office taking pictures of newly hatched baby coots. He mentioned them this morning and said I was free to photograph them any time today, as he needs pictures for Roehampton News.

It was such a joy watching them being fed by mum, I took some but this one really shows their cuteness.

I also got some good macro shots of blue damselflies, they literally swarmed Froebel Lake, no wonder they make love all the time :)
