It was going to bee a quiet Friday night...

We were just enjoying a G&T before supper when Rick spotted something lurking in the apple tree... It was a swarm...
Under careful phone instruction from bee-whisperer Naomi we located our sheet and box under the tree; shook the tree and knocked the bees to the ground. We currently are waiting for the bees to congregate in the box before moving them to Hive 'Tan'.

We do not think they are from our hive - but probably from someone else.

More news will follow - probably that they have moved on. But it is exciting anyway!
