I walked to the village fete, admired the vintage cars, chatted to a few people, bought some second hand books (6 for a pound), bought some plants, and had strawberries and cream (with home made meringue). Luckily I was at the refreshment marquee at one o'clock, as the BBC predicted the moment of a rather heavy downpour. It did not last for too long.
Walked on back to my parents and the sun was shining again so we had tea in the garden, before I went home and put the new plants in my garden.
