MeriRand & the NW Passage

Land of Family

Today was spent driving and reflecting on my week, my home, and all of the things leading to today. Gramps yesterday talked about his grandmother, traveling alone from Germany to meet her husband and his children- she was essentially mail-ordered to fill in for his previous wife.

I drove across the state in beautiful highways, full of farms and leafy, green trees. This is the air of my childhood.

I visited my great aunt, who got me up to date with her side of the family. We are both missing my grandma, who passed away one year ago today. Life is floating on, but the people and places of our past are not forgotten.
