D'aicí enfòra

Old photos

I wasn't pleased with any of the new photos I've taken today - no inspiration at all - so I'm blipping these scanned and reprinted images, all taken over fifty years ago. Top left: my parents, my sister and me, on a picnic in Libya, top right: my sister and I climbing what we called 'the camel tree' because of its humped trunk, bottom left: me outside our house in Benghazi, aged about 5 or 6, bottom left: me with my grandmother in the garden of our house in Wales. I used this last picture to illustrate the back cover of my poem sequence about my grandmother, In Sight of the Sea.

(It looks as though I always wore the same T-shirt!)
