Lindisfarne Castle

So we packed up this morning after a great weekend camping, a wee bit sunburnt and groggy maybe, but happy after a top couple of nights with great company. The site was great as well so top marks to L & J for recommending it. PEaceful and close enough to feeling like wild camping since tehre was only friends tehre and we were allowed a fire, but also with the convenience so a toilet a shower and drinking water on tap.

Rather than head straight up the road we went off to Lindisfarne. We didn't stay for ages as Roz was a bit panicky about getting caught by the tide, but we saw enough that we'd like to go back and do a B&B at some point to get a proper look round.

We made it back up the road for about five and settled down for a comfy evening.
