Yes, we did go to Jysk store to find out blackout curtain as a portrait background. I found 150 cm x 300 cm black in 6 Euros. It did fail. It was not suitable in floor. As a background it was good, but not excellent (because of structure). I did not test will that custain pass any light.

It totally failed on the floor. It just don't stay where you leave it (as you can see in the picture). It needs to be more stronger and stiffer. Also 1,5 meters wide is too small for moving kids. Half body portraits it was OK.

I'm planning to purchase a background cloth rack. Please give tips, if you know something about fabric or racks.
