"Marmalade Fly"

I am always very happy to see hoverflies in the garden especially as their larvae are useful for eating aphids.There are over 200 species in Britain and I noticed both male and female of two kinds today. The shape of the large eyes of this Marmalade Fly (Episyrphus balteatus) indicates that it is a female.
