Grey to Blue

At last, after a day of grey and very low level cumulus bringing only drizzle and a cold wind, just at sunset this formation appeared in a blue crisp-clear sky.

After the last weeks rocketing temperatures it was a shock to be back down well into the teens with a wind chill (to the point where, on the south bank, even with a jumper on I was wishing I'd brought a coat). One thing is sure about Britain it's that changeability of the skies above us means you will get caught in the wrong gear at least once a month. On the plus side makes us endlessly fascinated with the weather.

Nearly chose a panoramic view instead of this as I was loving the feathering effect over the trees but the quality of photo was far less than this one
