Bosherston Lily Ponds

Day seven of our Pembrokeshire holiday.

These are part of the large Stackpole Estate which was included a grand house (now demolished), trees and ponds and coastline with beautiful beaches. The white waterlilies cover some of the lakes and there are beautiful walks around them. They were by our cottage so we had quite a few walks there as we never tired of the area.

There are otters but they didn't show themselves to us though we looked often! There were lots of other creatures though - birds, butterflies, dragonflies, tiny toadlets etc. and a cormorant eating an eel that was wrapped around it's beak.
