HMS Caroline

Built in 1914 HMS Caroline is a C-class light cruiser, she had a long and distinguished career before she was decommissioned in 2011;

1) She is the sole remaining survivor of the Battle of Jutland.

2) At the time of her decommissioning, in 2011, she was the second oldest ship in the service of the Royal Navy. (HMS Victory is the oldest, and still in service today).

3) She is one of just three surviving warships from the First World War.

HMS Caroline's motto is 'Tenax Propositi' which means Tenacious of purpose.

(She has a beautiful concave bow & is looking pretty good considering she's 100 years old)
