Medieval City

It should have been a rest day but we haven't had much time to rest. After a much longer walk than we intended around the town this morning we came back to the 'van for lunch. As the sun kept making brief appearances and it was pleasantly cool (about 23 degrees) we walked up the very steep hill to the village of Conflans. This medieval "city" overlooks two valleys - the Isere and the Arly and being well preserved is a magnet for tourists. As well as restaurants, local specialities and craft shops it offers panoramic views from the city walls.

A day of sunshine and light showers but we haven't seen a rainbow
