Xenophoridae - the bling of shells.

These Collector or Carrier shells are unique in that they cement various bits including other shells, pieces of corals and stones to their shell. One assumes it is for protection from predation. I have a 6 of these in my collection and each one has collected different bits. They occur off the KZN coast in a depth of 700 m. They are uncommon to rare.
