The Far Corner

We had a fabulous evening yesterday. We went to see Juliette Burton's show, "When I Grow Up", before she performs the second in her series of six shows, "Look at Me", in the Edinburgh Fringe this August.

After the show, we went for a few drinks with Juliette and some of her friends. She's an amazing person who is overcoming serious mental health issues by performing. On her website, she notes that "she has been diagnosed with OCD, acute anxiety, manic depression, bipolar, anorexia, bulimia, compulsive overeating disorder. She has experienced psychosis and agoraphobia as well as social anxiety disorder. She was an inpatient in mental hospitals and clinics 4 times, sectioned aged 17." She's been every size from 4 to 20. And she's an incredible bundle of energy. A truly lovely person.

This very odd art is illuminated from behind. Be sure to view it large to see all the detail that's going on there.

It's in the side room in (you've guessed it!) the World's End pub.
