Blaenau-Ffestiniog

For a rail enthusiast, no visit to North Wales is complete without a trip to the Blaenau-Ffestiniog narrow gauge railway, currently celebrating 60 years of preservation. This picture was taken in the railway’s own preserved station at Ffestiniog, with the engine and carriages ready for the trip to Porthmadog. So much has been written of this railways history and its relation to the Welsh slate industry, that for further details I would urge you to visit www.festrail.co.uk/ here
