Piped Cream Rosettes

It started dull, but turned into a hot and sunny day. Rather too hot for me to do much, so it was coffee with a friend and neighbour and a quick stroll round the garden for a blip.

This shrub has recently started blooming and reminds me of piped cream rosettes before it opens into a pretty flower. You can see them better in Large. Has anyone any idea what it is? I'm sure I planted it, but can't find the label now!

Update! Have just discovered it's called Kalmia latifolia or Calico Bush. Should have tried to Google it sooner!
