Not a butterfly

There is a fantastic skyscape just now and it would be my blip if I hadn’t just uploaded this. I wasn’t familiar with this moth feeding on the orchid and thought it was a butterfly. Although I have reference books on caterpillars, butterflies and moths it took me a while to identify it. Not many moths fly in the daytime but this Latticed Heath moth (Chiasmia clathrata) does and unlike most moths spreads its wings out like a butterfly. Unfortunately I couldn’t get a clear photo of its lattice effect wings as it kept flying around. Barely discernable in the picture is a caterpillar and nearby were clover plants which they feed upon.
