'Richmond, Windsor and Staines railway bridge 1908

The ironwork bridge over the Thames at Richmond carrying the Windsor and Staines line. A lovely bit of Victorian engineering, although the bridge design is very similar to the original cast iron bridge built in 1848 based on three 100 foot long cast iron girders. It was replaced on structural grounds in 1908 after the collapse of a similar bridge.
