Whalligoe

On the 1871 census my great great grandfather and his family, incliuding my great grandfather, is marked as staying in Whalligoe (WIKI it). Today I had a chance to visit it but early this afternoon I fell and damaged my knee. Putting on a brave face and lots of tape dressing and bandages I faced the 340 steps down to the old harbour. It was worth it and I'm left wondering if my ancestors also tied their boats to this ring. I'd like to think so because the 340 steps back up the cliff face near killed me, and I wasn't carrying fish. Worth it though. One of the most beautiful spots I've been to so far and I had the wrong lense with me. :(
