Why the Bulldog is so acquainted with Britishness when almost everyone and their Aunty has a labrador?!!?

My Finnigan, as daft as anything. But as old as he is, he still likes to bonk the boys whenever he can. Another very British trait. No he's not catholic, nor a purveyor of any other grown up fairy tale.
