The Two Domes

Another fabulous day in Glasgow. This is a view of the domes of the Winter Gardens and People's Palace in Glasgow Green.

The People’s Palace is Glasgow’s social history museum. It was opened on the 22 January 1898 and gives visitors a chance to see the story of the people and city of Glasgow from 1750 to the present.

At the opening ceremony, Lord Roseberry described "A palace of pleasure and imagination around which the people may place their affections and which may give them a home on which their memory may rest."

Attached to the People’s Palace is the Winter Gardens, an elegant Victorian glasshouse where you can relax among the tropical plants and enjoy the café.

Tonight made a spicy Brazilian dish which tasted wonderful.
