Cat-achino

My first photo - and it's not of my garden or plants but of Jack, an extraordinary cat. Like all cats, Jack loves warmth and the last ten days have been hard for him. Over the last week or so has hunted out every hot spot in our home. Here he is, on one of the coldest days curled rather precariously on our coffee machine - a very hot spot! He's not small as you can see and also rather clumsy. That's because he's only got half a tail and it has definitely done something to his balance.

Jack is a Bombay Black, his sister Mumtaz, a self-coloured Asian - cat genetics are a very funny thing. I'll be following their exploits using one of my favourite iPhone apps - the Meow Cam which meows to attract your cat's attention to take their picture!
